Who do you spend the most time with?

This one’s easy.

Hands down it would have to be my dog, Baldwin. I work from home—the best thing ever—and so Baldwin and I are always together.

My favorite is when he sits with me while I write. Sometimes Baldwin will go into the office, get on his bed, and stare at me as I walk by, as if to say “ That novel isn’t going to write itself.”

And I sit down and write.
